Early morning house fire in Centereach

0114 hours. Centereach FD is dispatched to a reported house fire at 24 Arbor Lane. Assistant Chief Feola was first in and had the alarm re-transmitted as a working fire as he had fire showing out of a second story bedroom of a private dwelling. Engine 12 was first in followed by ladder 5 and engine 2. Crews stretched on the fire and it was quickly extinguished. Selden FD sent a RIT. The fire was placed under control within 45 minutes. Chief of Department Robert Corley was the incident commander. All of the occupants escaped without injury and firefighters removed one cat.
